Big Tree Parking
Run by Sunshine Coast Regional District (Big Tree, REC5890); trails by SCDBA
A lot with a toilet and an info board, about 2.5 km up Halfmoon-Carlson FSR from Highway 101, 9 km north of Sechelt (turn at the small rock quarry). It's an active logging road, so watch for trucks. Free. The West Sechelt trails start right here. Trailer room isn't checked.
West Sechelt is a network of trails and old logging roads in the forest northwest of Sechelt, built and kept up by the Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association. The Big Tree recreation site lot, on Halfmoon-Carlson Forest Road, is the signed lot at the middle of it. The Big Tree footpaths there are signed no motor vehicles; the forest roads and trails around it are where bikes ride. No club page names a rider staging spot, so check with the club.
